About the Artist
I have been an artist for many years. I have had the opportunity to work under the direction of several reputable artists including the world renowned Nelson Shanks, James Childs, Peter Cox, Dan Thompson, Gregg Kreutz, and Thomas Torak.
MY interest is mainly in the classical and impressionist styles. The artists I have been most influenced by are quite diverse: Caravaggio, Velazquez, Sargent and Anders Zorn. I believe that art has connection with the spirit. Creativity is an essential component of art. I try to create an illusion of reality in my work, instead of just copying the subject. I love to paint, not because I want to, but because I feel I need to express myself thru my art. Painting and drawing inspire me, by observing the beauty in light and in nature
